As Lone Kiwi
Parts Finder is an auto parts broker, we are bound by the warranties of our
suppliers. There is no return on electrical items. Some ECMs may have to be reprogrammed by the dealer. We offer a large range of computers, and it is impossible for us to tell which makes and models would need reprogramming. Please check with the dealer for possible reprogramming issues prior to purchase. Engines are sold as
longblocks, though parts may be left on for convenience. Body parts (including
lights and interiors) are sold “as is”. Any parts returned and any orders
canceled for any reason, may be subject to freight, finders and/or
restock fees. For this reason, we ask you to contact us if there is a problem.
While used parts generally offer a large savings over new parts, the buyer also
understands there is a risk in used parts, and assumes that risk. We do retain the right to exchange or replace any part, and substitute
comparable parts. We will commit ourselves to finding suitable replacement parts, and if
none are available, we will offer a refund based on this agreement.
If a replacement is available at higher than the original purchase price, the
buyer has the option of paying the difference or returning the part for a refund
minus finder's fees. Defective or incorrect parts must be returned before an exchange is issued, and in the original (not altered or damaged) condition as when purchased. Disassembling any part without our written authorization will void the warranty. The buyer is responsible for return shipping. Freight and finder's fees are non-refundable. If payment is
made through Paypal, buyer agrees to pay finder's fee in the event of any
return. Any transit
times given are estimates only. Other factors such as weather, supplier’s
schedule or freight company issues can alter delivery times and are beyond our
control. For this reason we do not offer tracking numbers until 7 business days
after the purchase date. Please inspect your item closely upon receipt.
Any damages should be marked on the freight bill, as this may be the only way to
ensure items damaged in transit (and unfortunately, it does happen) will be
credited by the freight company. Business addresses are preferred for deliveries. Exceptions can be made, with additional charges being the responsibility of the customer. Mileage quotes are based on information supplied by vendors and have
not been verified. Lone Kiwi Parts Finder assumes no liability for inaccurate
listings. Part interchangability is based on the Hollander interchange
system. The part you order is sold as for and not from any
specific model or automobile, as a recycler cannot know if a part has been
changed before a vehicle goes to salvage. Lone Kiwi accepts no
responsibility for inaccurate Hollander interchanges, but will work with you to
secure a replacement part. All items purchased through Lone Kiwi Parts Finder are warranted to be in good working condition at the time of purchase for the period noted on your invoice. If the part is or becomes defective or is incorrect in any way, we do offer replacements per our exchange policy. This limited warranty is conditional on buyer's acceptance of this agreement . In the event of any dispute, buyer agrees to waive any chargeback and will settle directly with Lone Kiwi Parts Finder. The seller, Lone Kiwi Parts Finder, neither assumes nor authorizes any person to assume for it any liability in connection with sales of these parts. Some engines and cylinder heads have heat tabs installed. Warranty is voided if heat tabs are melted. Timing belts MUST be changed (where applicable) or warranty is voided. To protect your investment, we recommend new seals, gaskets, hoses, etc. The radiator must be flushed. Parts must be installed by an ASE certified mechanic. The purchaser understands that Lone Kiwi Parts Finder is acting as a
broker and is not responsible for any loss caused from purchase, installation,
removal, repair, replacement or use of any merchandise, or from any action by
our suppliers. Any returns or exchanges outside of this agreement are at the sole discretion of Lone Kiwi Parts Finder.

Deposits
|
|
We do accept non-refundable deposits to hold parts for 30 days. If the balance is not paid within 30 days, the deposit is forfeited. There are no exceptions, as we have to pay non-refundable deposits to our suppliers.

|
Core Deposits
Cores
must be returned in a rebuildable state and within 30 days to receive full core
credit. Cores not returned
under these guidelines may receive partial credit at Lone Kiwi Parts Finder’s
discretion.
Extended Warranties
|
|
Many of our vendors offer extended warranties as follows:
6 months (15% of purchase price)
12 months (30% of purchase price)
Please ask if your purchase applies for an extended warranty.

Limitations.
|
Engine: as used herein, the term engine shall mean the block,
cylinder heads and internal components. Not covered are
fuel injection components, electricals, timing belts, manifolds, timing covers, etc.
Lone Kiwi Parts Finder warrants that each used engine sold by us
shall be free from knocking, excessive oil consumption and
cracks in the head or block, subject to the above
conditions.
Cylinder heads: Heads are guaranteed not to have cracks. Valves, springs, cams, etc. are not covered under this warranty.

Transmissions:
Guaranteed to have recommended tolerance for backlash. All
gears, shafts, bearings & cases are in good operating
condition. Seals should be changed and coolant system
MUST be flushed to protect warranty.

Axles,driveshafts etc.: Front or rear axles assemblies have many external components. Our warranty is for the housing and internal (or differential) gears only. U-joints and replaceable boots are not covered.
